Research and Results
Through interviews with our advanced users, we have found ideal places for information gathering to either be at home or at the gas station. Users can select with place they would rather have these prompts in the settings of the application. We collect the information in granular pieces and allow for sections to be left uncompleted to come back to at a later time. The the number of prompts and the density of the prompts will be designated by the level the user specifies themselves as when they intially register for the program.
Some information would already be given once the user imports the vin number of the car.
AutoMindr will also gather information about the service they were previously given and the person who preformed the service. Doing this will also for others to review the work of service providers from a non-basis perspective. Along with rating service providers, users will be able to rate local stores where they have purchased products from in regards to price and the friendliness of staff.
AutoMindr also offers a social aspect. Users generally relate more to a personal story than a list of facts. Users will have the option to give a story about a time when they did not perform a maintance task in the past and suffered the consequences, this will give users the option to read written personal stories as an intiative to have the suggested service performed.
Metrics for success
We will want our users to find the prompts useful. We want the users to have the information readily available and not have to wait for the prompt to remember to add the information to the database. Also we want the user to eventually enjoy writing information about their car.
